Lucy has been teaching Performing Arts for over 10 years and is a qualified lecturer and member of the International Dance Teacher’s Association. She teaches LAMDA, TRINITY and IDTA syllabi and specialises in Musical Theatre. Her credits to date include; Cinderella from ‘Into The Woods’ and Anne Egerman from ‘A Little Night Music’. She has also appeared on ‘Pop Idol’ and ‘Coleen’s Real Women’ on ITV.

Lucy made her debut as a producer in 2015 at the Grand Theatre in Blackpool, where she co-directed and choreographed Howard Ashman’s ‘Little Shop of Horrors’.  Lucy aims to continue her success as a producer with her company

TAKE 1 Productions.


Currently, Lucy is a professional singer with Majeque and a professional dancer with The Glitz Girls in Blackpool. Lucy also has a 1940s alias and goes by the name of Nancy Lee when attending as a performer at various war time events.

 

Lucy is thrilled to be passing on her expertise at SPOTlight PAA and is very excited to be heading up the Bronze, Silver and Gold Arts Award.

BA Hons Music Theatre

Matthew Garner has been performing from an early age after he was dared to audition for the part of Seymour in his school's production of Little Shop of Horrors which landed him the lead role. Since then, he has never looked back.

After graduating from the University of Central Lancashire with a BA Hons in Music Theatre, Matthew continued to perform in many well known musicals in theatres across the UK. He is honoured to have been given the opportunity to play the lead roles of Mushnik AND Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors;  Joseph in Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat and Bill Sykes in Oliver! Matthew has also played the character of Miss Understanding in Priscilla - Queen of the Desert.


​Matthew has performed alongside David Gray at the MEN Arena and worked with Roger Haines and Richard Taylor. He is currently performing in the ensemble of Bob Fosse' CHICAGO and is thrilled to be directing other projects in Manchester.

Miss Sophie started dancing at the age of six and has followed an extensive career training in Jazz, Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Contemporary, Commercial and then progressed into Drama.

 

Sophie began at Gillies Mar Jan Stage School and went on to study at Manchester College. Sophie later graduated from ShockOut Arts. Sophie’s current claim to fame is appearing in Care Bears Go To Camelot at the age of 12 years.

 

As well as regularly performing in various dance shows, Sophie also works as a part-time model and has sat for Trendy Clothing Ltd.
Sophie is a professional dancer with the Diamond Showgirls who perform at many events and showcases throughout the UK. Performances are predominantly within the North West but have also toured nationwide.

 

We are very excited to have Sophie on board here at SPOTlight Performing Arts Academy and look forward to seeing the work she intends to produce within the company.
